HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – Harry Edward Weimer, 82 of Hendersonville, passed away on Wednesday (Feb. 24, 2021) due to complications from COVID-19.
Harry was born Feb. 18, 1938, in Port Allegany Pa., a son of Stacy Weimer and his mother, and stepfather, Vera and Harold Freer who predeceased him. He married Cynthia Ann Fortner, on Sept. 27, 1969, who survives.
Harry was a 1957 graduate of Port Allegany High School, and worked at Pierce Glass/Ball from 1957 to retirement in 1997, as a production foreman.
Harry was an active member of the Liberty Masons, receiving this 33rd degree in 1996. He and Cindy were also active square and round dancers. Harry's favorite pastime was golfing. He was also an avid woodworker.
Along with his wife, Harry is survived by four children, Peri Ann (Kevin) Best of Napa, Calif., Brian Weimer of Sutter, Calif., Craig (Dee Dee) Weimer of Yuba City, Calif. and Donald (Lynne) Weimer of Portville, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
There will not be visitation or a funeral at this time.
