Joyce Pocras Obituary

Las Vegas, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Lillie Person; sister, Zelda Friedman; and brother, Gilbert Person. She is survived by her husband, Ken of Las Vegas; daughter, Jeanne of Los Angeles; son and daughter-in-law, Hap and Suzanne; grandchildren: Lily, Lucy and Knox. She taught math at Pius X High School and Irving Junior High School in Lincoln. Later she returned to college to obtain her CPA license. She worked for the Nebraska State Auditor of Public Accounts and later moved to First Federal Lincoln S&L as their internal auditor eventually becoming a board member of TierOne bank. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Joyce was such a bright light and sense of reason when I worked with her at First Federal Lincoln. I have always considered her a mentor of mine - and I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences to her family.
