Sandra A. Loucks Obituary
CANASTOTA >> Sandra A. "Sandy" Loucks, 60, Beebee Bridge Road, passed away peacefully during the day on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, surrounded by her family and closest friends as she took her last breath. Three different times, she bravely fought battling cancer, that in the end took her, but she was blessed to be able to say goodbye to everyone and her family and friends were able to tell her of how much they loved her, as they said their final goodbyes.

Born in Canastota, on Feb. 14, 1957, she was a daughter of Harold F. and Jenny Ruth Smith Phillips. Raised and educated in Canastota, Sandy was a graduate of Canastota High School and attended Onondaga Community College. She married Garry Loucks in Whitelaw Presbyterian Church on Nov. 13, 1976.

Sandy enjoyed baking cookies and cooking spaghetti dinners for her family and friends at various get-togethers. She loved shopping sprees, especially having a "girls' day" with her daughter. The blankets, which she lovingly crocheted for so many, over the years, will be always cherished. Sandy dearly loved her family, and even her cats. She will be missed by her family and friends, and will always be remembered for the love and laughter she brought to the hearts of all.

Surviving besides her loving husband, Garry, are her loving daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Jason Lewis of Hubbardsville; her two sisters, Linda (John) Butler of Oneida and Connie York of Hamilton; her three brothers, Harold (Linda) Phillips of Canastota, Peter (Michelle) Phillips of New London and Nathan (Clyde) Phillips Frey of Florida; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Elbert and Helen Loucks of Canastota; and her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who each were her "favorite." She was predeceased by two younger brothers, Kevin and Wesley Phillips and also her best friend, Robert Brennan.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 300 S. Peterboro St., Canastota, with the Rev. Clyde Phillips Frey, officiating. Interment will be made in Whitelaw Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 6-8 p.m., Thursday.
