I have known and respected Sen. Broun since he first came to the Ga. Legislature. He served his state with dignity and deliberation. He was an early and loyal supporter of President Carter's and I will always remember the pleasant visits we shared when he and Mrs. Broun came to Washington to see the President.

When I saw your father's obituary in yesterday's paper, a flood of wonderful memories came rushing back of our European tour of 1966. Your parents were absolutely delightful as well as "a bunch of fun!!" I will always think of the Broun family as dear friends. My thoughts are with Paul, Connie and Mike and your families.

Warmest regards, Susan Sharpe Dickens--formerly of Winder
