Dear Ruby,
As you know, Ron was my leader, protector and pal for many years and Syl and I will always cherish his friendship. One of the proudest days of my life was when the Team selected him as an Honorary Thunderbird, an honor so well deserved. We love you, Ruby, and will stay in touch as you navigate your way through this terrible loss. Please don't forget we are here for you.
With great love and respect,

A smile comes to my face when I think of Mr. Ron. He is really flying now in heaven! He often referred to himself as an ol' fighter pilot. His fight is now over, and he truly fought a good fight!! I will miss you Mr. Ron, but I look forward to you showing me around heaven one day!

Dear Ron, We are sad to lose you but glad you are no longer in pain. You have had a wonderful life and made a lot of people happy. Wally loved going to Colorado with you. So sorry poor health prevents our making the trip to Athens to be with your wonderful family. Ruby we would love to be there. Have enjoyed our phone and email conversations; Ron was truly the only "brother" I ever had and he treated me as a sister. I will never forget the times we had together. We love you and send our prayers and thoughts to all of you. Peggy (and Wally) Higginbotham
