I stopped at Brads shop today only to find out he had passed. Me, my husband and our son visited with Brad on many occasions. Enjoyed his conversations on wrestling and The Walking dead tv series. My son is an actor on walking dead this year and planned to give Brad a signed autographed picture of his walking dead Zombie character. Now that's not possible, we were just customers in his shop. But he became like a friend to us. He always smiled and said come on in, how are y'all doing. We are really going to miss that.
It was sad today seeing his shop all new and with a new owner. We will miss Brad very, very much!
Thanks Brad for touching us with your words and friendship, we will miss you ❤

Brad and I go back to the Pants Shop days. He and I had some great times chasing down records to buy and sell and collect. I'm sure gonna miss my old friend. RIP Brad!

Brad was a very dear friend of mine since we met as students at Athens High School. I often visited him at Cosmic Debris in Bishop on my frequent visits to Athens in recent years. Brad (along with his close friend Harold Kelly) made a very important contribution to the music and culture of Athens through recording live bands, producing CDs of the performances, and making them available to music lovers like myself. I will greatly miss going to Cosmic Debris, catching up with Brad, listening to his priceless narratives about music, wrestling, and stray movie stars, and leaving with musical and pop cultural treasures to enjoy until my next visit. The photo I sent is how I will remember him.
Happy Trails, Brad, until we meet again.

Woke up this morning to sad news that my good friend Brad Herring had passed away .He was known years back for his Wrestling Abstract Hotline, which was more of a discussion and education of wrestling than rumors . Somehow , I got the number to the line and there began our friendship . I'd call Brad up, listen to the message and then talk after the beep , Brad would often pick up and we'd talk wrestling .He educated me on wrestling history and was kind of a living encyclopedia. Undoubtedly he helped out my career and encouraged me to chase my dreams and goals in life . He was excited to hear of any cool stuff going on and always there to build me up when the crummy times were around . Brad's Cosmic Debris Antique and Record shop has been rockin' the last ten years , he had moved from a different location in Athens and had found much more success . Many conversations we had in that shop impacted my life in different capacities . Brad would always have some music playing that I'd never heard, sometimes stuff that I never wanted to hear again but often times stuff that I wanted to hear more of . He found joy in sharing his vast knowledge with anyone who would listen . I have old albums that he'd burn onto a CD of music that I should look into he'd just give me on occasion . He also told me stories of some of my favorite artists that I'd never heard , a musical education all in its own . Brad also was there to listen and give advice . I've always valued friendships with people older than myself because of the incredible wisdom that can be gained . I could give a million examples of Brad just being willing to listen and give me his thoughts and lift me back up . He was very much like an adopted Uncle and I told him that many times . The last time I was in Watkinsville , Ga , I stopped by to see Brad . We once again talked life , politics , music , and of course wrestling . I told him how much he meant to my life and thanked him for his friendship and let him know I loved him and appreciated him.I had no idea at that time Brad had cancer , I don't think he even knew . It just struck me to tell him that and I'm so glad I had that last chance . I'm gonna miss you Brad , a lot of people will . Prayers for your family and other friends . Thank you for enriching my life , I'll see you on the other side .
