Grandpa,i wish i knew you better, and talked to you more. Its to late for that though. It makes me sad to think you have left this worl, but it brings a smile to my face knowing your in a better place now.I miss the small talk we used to have when i was young, and the stories you had to tell. Now,you are in a world without pain, without the cold. Although your light has faded on earth, our memory of you still burns strong.I love you and honor your memory, and i wish to follow in your footsteps as to only dream to be as great a soldier as you were. With love, Your great grandson Sean Apple

Grandpa, while I have many memories of you I'm most thankful for the ones you shared while living with mom; talking to Chico, sharing your memories about the war and talking about the leaves falling from the trees. Always active and eager to talk about your experiences, you will always be remembered.

Eusebio's Pride & Legacy!!!
Dear Eusebio,

You were an inspiration to us all . . . I felt a special connection to you not only because you were one of those unique heroes of the Greatest Generation - with your Silver Star, but also because of your warm and humble manner. We are blessed from having known you.

Eusebio tu dejaste un grande Amor y un gran recuerdo por siempre en el corazon de toda tu familia y todos tus amigos de UMAVA . . . y de un Michoacano a un Zacatecano - descansa siempre en la Gracia de nuestro Redentor!

To Eusebio's Family, Please see the Invocation/Prayer, I conducted at the Swearing-In ceremony of our OC County Treasurer at the Santa Ana Courthouse this past Wednesday January 12 at 3pm. The Honorable Bill Campbell, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of OC asked for the speech, which he included in his Newsletter, and in which I also asked for a prayer for Eusebio.

. . . "at ease Soldier - you can rest now in the presence of our Lord!"
