Henry Soaper Obituary

Soaper II, Henry Turner, 63, a retired Land Surveyor, passed away Saturday February 5th, 2011 at his home in Fullerton, CA. Born June 2, 1947 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late John Morgan and Katherine Cochran Soaper. After graduating from Sewanee Military Academy followed by the University of Kentucky with a Major in Photogrammetry and Surveying, he joined the US Army in 1968. While in the Army he worked for the US Coast and Geodetic Survey where he traveled to many parts of the world and was part of a mapping mission of Ethiopia. After an Honorable Discharge from the Army in 1971 he was an active Land Surveyor until he retired in 2008. He is survived by his son Gregory Morgan Soaper and daughter- in-law, Michell Denise Soaper of Fullerton, CA; two grandsons, Dane Morgan Soaper and Blake Wallis Soaper, and a brother, John Morgan Soaper Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri. He enjoyed off road racing throughout the California deserts and Mexico. He also enjoyed cruising the western United States on his Harley Davidson. He was a friend to all and will be greatly missed.

Its been a lot of years. I am so sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of your dad out in glamis! Helping with our generator and many others! He will be missed! Again I am so so sorry!

I'm so sorry to hear of Henry's Passing. He was a generous Neighbor, Boss and Friend to me, when I was a youngster. He knew how to live life to the fullest and he will be missed by all that knew him!
