Milton S. Allione Obituary
Milton S. Allione, born in San Francisco March 31, 1935. Attended UC Berkeley, and graduated from SF State in Mathematics in 1958. Started his career in aerospace with the launch of Sputnik in applied mathematics involving groundbreaking calculations of space trajectories and orbits. Worked at Lockheed in Palo Alto and attended Stanford as a PhD candidate. He also worked in Almagordo, NM at the National Space Lab, Ford Aerospace, Rockwell International, and Boeing, and retired in 2000. His sailing career, at Voyagers Yacht Club and Lido Isle Yacht Club spanned decades including building Allione Sabots, and his 21 ft. Dolphin; raced for many years with a much-imitated hull design. He lived on Lido Isle, 1968 with his first wife Joyce (Luithle) and two sons. He later met and married Jody LaBarge in 1977, married for 41 years. They moved to Kailua, Oahu in 2004 where he passed away on May 26, 2018. Survived by his three sons: Milton S. Allione (Julie) of Costa Mesa, CA, Mark S. Allione (Suzy) of Gardnerville, NV, and Eric Allione of Kailua, HI; grandchildren: Alexander Allione and Ashleigh Grunberg of Washington, D.C.
