Dr. McKnight was a very favorite professor of mine who took classes to the Outer Banks where we studied the flora and fauna and learned a lot about the fragile, unique ecosystem and history of the area. He was a wonderful educator and will be sorely missed and remembered fondly! My deepest sympathy to his family.

Regis was one of a kind! He taught me that the best education involved counting acorns and pinecones, wading in creeks, mudpies and tadpoles, hopping fences, full moons and owl calls. He is a part of my classroom everyday. What a beauiful legacy he has left behind to everyone he embraced. With sincere sympathy, Jim Trogdon
