Ann Hubbard Underwood, 92, passed away in Richmond, VA on Sunday, September 9, 2018. A native of Richmond, she moved to Ocala as a newlywed where she lived for 45 years. She was a former Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church and former lunchroom cashier at Forest High School, Ocala. For 12 years, she was an active member of the Marion County PTA organization. After her retirement, she moved to the Mayflower Retirement Center, Winter Park and lived there for 22 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther D. "LD" Underwood, Jr. and is survived by her children, Luther D. "De" Underwood III (Marilyn) of Oklawaha, FL and Christi L. Underwood (Larry Roth) of Winter Park, FL; granddaughter, Jetti Gibson of Stuttgart, Germany; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 13, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where services will immediately follow at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society. Online condolences may be made at www.nelsenrichmond.com.
