Charles T. "Tad" Hall

1925 - 2018

Charles T. Hall "Tad", beloved father, grandfather and friend passed away at the age of 93 on 5/21/2018. He was born in 1925 in Trenton New Jersey. He is survived by his daughter Helen and two grandchildren, Ethan and Susan. Tad graduated from Princeton, class of 1947 and Harvard Law School in 1952. He spent most of his career with GE. He served in the infantry in Europe during WWII. He was wounded during combat and received the purple heart. Tad married Mildred in 1952. They had two daughters, Catherine and Helen. Mildred passed in 1990 and Catherine in 2011. He married Margaret in 1993. She passed in 2008. Tad enjoyed many sports, was a top wrestler and was on the rowing team at Princeton. He loved golf and played up until close to his 93rd birthday. Tad loved music and the theater. As a young man he played the trumpet and sang in several bands and joined in many theatrical productions. At John Knox, where he moved in 2002, he participated in a variety of shows and was part of the Men's Chorus. Tad loved spending time with his friends, children and grandchildren. He was an incredibly generous man, supporting many charities and also volunteering his time to help others. He was kind, full of life, optimism and joy. He will be deeply missed and remembered with respect and love. Memorial service to be held at the John Knox Village Auditorium at 2pm 7/15/18. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to an animal charity.
