GRIGSBY, GABRIEL J. "" age 10 of Saint Cloud lost his 17 month battle with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) on July 10, 2013. This brain disease attacks 1 in 18,000 boys and can be mitigated or even cured with early detection. Gabriel was a lifelong resident of Osceola County and was an Alter Server at the Church of St. Luke and St. Peter, a student at Lakeview Elementary School where he sang in the vocal ensemble, Cub Scout Pack #69 and played in the St Cloud Little League .He is survived by his parents, Peter and Dawn Chesko-Grigsby; brother, Nathan Grigsby; paternal grandparents, Jack and Gretchen Grigsby of Gainesville, Florida; maternal grandparents, Dan Chesko and Dorothy Chesko both of Saint Cloud. A Communion Mass for Burial will be held at St. Luke and St. Peter Episcopal Church, 2745 Canoe Creek Road, St. Cloud, Florida 34772 on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. with the Reverend Robert J.D. Longbottom, Pastor, officiating. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the same location on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. Attendees are encouraged to bring their families and wear Gabriel Super Fun Day Shirts.
