Raymond Knuth Obituary

Raymond Harry Knuth of Oscoda/AuSable passed away on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at the age of 69.
Ray was born on March 31, 1941, in Bay City to Harry Emil and Eva Fay (nee Bleau) Knuth. He worked as a private detective for many years and was also the chief of police in Oscoda Township.
Ray was an avid member of ham radio clubs in the area and truly enjoyed fishing. Ray was also a Vietnam veteran who proudly served our country in the United States Air Force.
Ray is survived by his wife, Elma "Sam" Knuth; son, Cass (Vanessa) Leaton; two grandchildren, Thor and Kirk Leaton; one sister, Janice "Eileen" (Phil) Gordon; three brothers, Ken (Linda) Knuth, Joe (Becky) Knuth and David Knuth; nieces and nephews, Eric Knuth, Natalie and Paul Knuth, Tony Knuth, Debbie Janice, Danny and Steve Mitchell, Carrie (Greg) Franzel, Kim Lang­ley, Russ (Janet) Langley, Gary (Tina) Langley and Tricia and Tim Popham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Eva Knuth; one brother, Jerry; and one sister, Elaine.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30, 11 a.m., at the American Legion in Oscoda. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. An on-line guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com. Cremation arrangements were by Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda.

working on my Amateur Radio Licence Uncle Ray, I was so impressed with the talent you had in CW... I probably wont ever learn it as they dont require it now to be a Ham, but just trying to keep it Legal eh... 73"s Unc.
