EASTON, Christine Peacefully, Monday, June 8, 2009 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late George Eldon Easton. Loving mother of Paul Easton and David Easton. A special thanks to Sharron and Virgilia for all their loving care. Christine was the recipient of The Governor General's Caring Canadian Award; Senior Citizen of the Year 2005; Award of Appreciation from the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa; given the title "Godmother of Glencairn" by Allan Hubley for the Glencairn Community Association; volunteered for the Royal Canadian Legion -- Poppy Fund and was a founding organizer of "To Russia with Love" sending 32 tons of food, medical supplies and clothing to Russia in its time of need. She was also a member of the IODE and probably has either sold or help buy the house that those reading this notice are living in as one of Ottawa's highest selling Real Estate agents. We will always remember, love and miss Ottawa's "Banana Bread Lady". A Graveside service will be held at a later date at Clyde Forks Cemetery. In memoriam donations to the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa appreciated.

Paul & David,
I had the esteemed pleasure of working with your Mom at Century 21 back in the late 80s. Your Mom always brought her delicious and famous Banana Bread to the office. Christine was a lady in every sense of the word and will be deeply missed.
Chris Harding.
