George BODONI Obituary
Of Stittsville, passed peacefully at Granite Ridge Nursing Home on December 16, 2011 at the age of 77. Born on October 22, 1934, in Hadad, Romania, the son of Ladislaus and Maria. George is survived by his daughter Sylvia (Robert Vanderkuip), grandchildren Ashley and Justin, of White Lake, Ontario; son George Jr. (Suzanne Lapenseé), grandchildren Joshua and Emma of Ottawa, sister Maria (Thome) of Langenfeld, Germany. He was preceded in death by his brother Andreas Schartner. George was educated as a carpenter, and worked most of his life practicing his trade. Later he took up hobby farming. He also worked for Macfarlane Construction, until his retirement. Our sincere thanks to Allison Fox (Orchard House), and the wonderful staff of Granite Ridge for their care and compassion. A private family service will be held. Condolences are welcome through Cole Funeral Services ( www.colefuneralservices.com ), and donations in memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Ottawa.

My father was also born in Hadad, Romania and grew up knowing your dad. While my father passed away several years ago I know he'ld have wanted to express sympathy for your loss.
