I hate to intervene - but your father is the double of my brother Terrence Arthur Jordan born in Portsmouth, England. My apologizes for reaching out but am trying to track relatives of our family . The likeness is uncanny.

My sincere condolences going to all of the family at this sad time for the loss of two beloved souls . I recall with fondeness seeing John often as my late Dad was at West End Villa as well. John loved to tease me, often complimented me and made me laugh and smile. Sometimes he gave me a ride home - when he remembered, a few times he drove off-lol ! But both he and Eileen are now forever together in their prime and their spirit lives on within you all . Prayers and thoughts.

My deepest condolences to John's family. Having played in the NCBL baseball league for 11 years, it always brought a smile to my face when I got to the diamond and saw that John was umpiring. He always knew what to say and when to say it. Thanks for the memories John...

My very deepest sympathies to the Jordan family. I got the privilege and honor of meeting JJ as a baseball umpire for the NCUA working in the NCBL. Having started umpiring in a league of men at the age of 16, JJ quickly became my mentor. He quickly taught me that having fun was the n.1 priority on the baseball diamond. Our association has lost a great umpire and an even better person. He was family to us. We miss you JJ and this baseball season will not be the same without you. May you rest in peace.

John will be missed by the Sharks Baseball Club. He always had command of a ball game but did it in a way that made you like and respect him. Although we only spoke briefly, I always made a point of chatting with him during the game as his smile, zest for the game and love of life was transparent in his smile, kind words and energy.

My deepest sympathies to John's family and friends. I had the privilege of meeting John as a player, manager, and fellow umpire in the NCBL, and he personified dignity and respect for all. His smile and great mood were contagious - you knew it was going to be a fun day with JJ around. He loved the game, loved us and we loved him back. He will be dearly missed. RIP JJ

Although I never knew his name ( I think we just called him blue), and I did not recognize him in the younger picture, after reading the guest book, I realized it must have been the umpire that we had while I played for the Frito Lay Fanatics in the early 90's. I remember his command of the game and respect he showed for everyone on the field.
I am trying to play again after being away from the game for so long and it is people like Mr. Jordan who inspire us to participate in this game .
My sympathies to the family.

I share my condelences with alot of baseball players in the region. We always perked up when JJ was behind the plate, with the twinkle in his eye, and his face always decked with a smile. "It's a great day for baseball." JJ will be missed.

Dear Uncle John.

My thoughts and respect is with you, your family and all the Jordan's at this time.

You were the last member of my father's immediate family still with us. I am now feeling the affect of another great void in my life. It is sweet poetic sorrow.

We all know when the tears subside, somewhere NOT on this earth, the final team member has arrived to complete the best baseball team ever assembled, and is easily kicking serious angel butt out of any and all who dare to challenge these proud Trenton farm boys.

My very best wishes from the 1st son of the oldest Jordan brother.

Martin Jordan.

John was a very special man who warmed many, many hearts. He always had a smile and a kind word for everybody around him. I thought it was so nice that he would make sure to buy 50-50 tickets so he could give them to all the kids at Fiddle Club. His Canada Day parties were amazing, and one of the best parts was to see how happy John was amongst all of his friends. He will be remembered fondly forever. With all our love to John and his family.

My sincere condolences to Sparky and the entire Jordan family. As a fellow umpire with the EOUA I know JJ will be sorely missed by both his colleagues and the players. His pleasant demeanour and forever smiling face where only two of his many postive traits. He has touched so many and I am grateful to have shared many fond memories. Rest in peace.

I only knew John for the last 5-6 years through his iron-clad passion for the game of baseball. As an umpire he
was as fair as the day is long
and was always a real treat to
have at the ballpark. I was
deeply saddened to hear of his
passing and I'm sure the
hundreds players in the NCBL
are aswell. Always the first to compliment a nice curveball or congratulate after a long ball, his smiling face and his friendly
banter will be sorely missed on the field. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Godspeed JJ
