DEWAN, Lenore Margaret Peacefully in her sleep at home on December 9, 2008 with family by her side, Lenore went home to be with her Lord. Beloved wife of the late Philip Gerald Dewan. Loving and loved mother of Lawrence, Arni, Laurel, Jeannie (John), Daniel (Jane), Valdine (Norm), and Gerald (Sue) and Denise. Proud grandmother of Philip, Matthew, Colin, Jesse, Jadran, Daniel, Ian, Sam and Jake. She will be sadly missed by her brother Arnold and his wife Sally and their children, Andy, Peggy, Ronnie and her many family members out west. Daughter of the late Arni and Pearl Bjornsson of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Always a proud Viking and Icelander, Lenore loved playing bridge and game shows. A Celebration of Lenore's Life will be officiated by her brother-in-law, Father Lawrence Dewan on Friday, December 12th at Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) at 2:30 p.m. A reception will follow the inurnment. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lung Association or Salvation Army would be appreciated.

Browsing the web, I found this obituary and was saddened to hear of Lenore's death. My memories go back to the farm-house at Alliston and all those nights quaffing beer with Gerry and Lenore and arguing peacably about everything under the sun. God take you, Lenore , into His house. Every best wish and sympathy to all the family- whose names stir so many memories
