I'll always remember the wonderful conversations we'd have. Mr. Stuart was both funny and intelligent. And don't you dare leaving without giving him a hug!

"Our Country is in mourning, for a soldier died today."

I came to know Mr. Stuart through my research on the former WWII Air Station on Pennfield Ridge. He was an ordinary and yet an extraordinary human being - a person who offered some of his life's most vital years in the service of his country, and who sacrificed his ambitions so others would not have to sacrifice theirs.

I am truly going to miss him and his advice, wisdom and encouragement. Thank-you for sharing your personal memories with me - for those I will always treasure. God Bless Mr. Stuart.

We are very sorry for your loss . I will miss him a great deal. Uncle David was always playful and wise . I looked forward to the time I would spend with him , when he and Joyce would come for visits on their annual pilgrimages. Thanks for the wonderful memories
