ROMASZEWSKI, Antoni 1953 - 2010 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr ANTONI ROMASZEWSKI, on May 18, 2010 at the age of 56. He is survived by his wife Anna Luczak-Romaszewska and his son Wojtek Romaszewski; his mother Cecylia Romaszewska; his brother Andrzej Romaszewski and family; his sister Krystyna Romaszewska; his beloved friend Francine Brousseau and her family, as well as many friends in several countries. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica of Ottawa, Sussex Drive, on Thursday, June 10, at 10:00 AM. Antoni would have been 57 on June 10. A farewell reception reception will follow at the Cathedral after the mass. In memory of Antoni, donations to the Ottawa Humane Society Building Fund would be welcomed in lieu of flowers. Antoni Romaszewski was a Canadian artist - painter, sculptor, photographer and poet - of Polish origin. He was born in Plock, Poland and graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. He devoted his life to art. His works were presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Europe and North-America. His art can be found in several public collections in Canada and Europe and in private collections around the world. Antoni is at peace and will be remembered through his art.
