Nicole DRUMMOND Obituary
With loving husband Bob at her side, our beloved Nicole passed away peacefully on May 2, 2016 at the Ottawa General Hospital at the age of 61. Devoted mother of John (Genevieve) and James (Carmen). Cherished daughter of Rose (née Mester) and the late Norbert Lecour. Dear sister of Danielle Moore (Fred Eaton) and André Lecour and sister-in- law of Pat (Dan), loving aunt of her nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 6 at Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 7 in Beechwood's Sacred Space with interment in the National Military Cemetery. Nicole lived her life with joy and passion. She created unique relationships with all the people she encountered in her business and personal life. She served many as a successful mortgage broker, especially Canadian Forces and RCMP members. Her vibrant energy, infectious personality and beautiful soul will be missed but never forgotten. Many thanks for the wonderful care Nicole received from the Cancer Centre and from the staff on the General's sixth and fifth floors. In memory of Nicole, donations to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation and Redeemer Alliance Church would be appreciated. Tributes may be sent via Lifetimes at www.beechwoodottawa.ca

Although it is quite awhile since Nicole's passing, I am sure her family continues to feel the loss of a remarkable, competent and empathetic person. As a former mortgage client, out of a permanent home since 2016, and living in another part of Canada, I missed learning about this sad news. This tribute is to let those close to Nicole that her star continues to shine. Blessings to you.

It is with great sadness that I discover Nicole's passing as I am trying to locate her brother Andre. I met Nicole for the first time in Ste-Foy Quebec as I was visiting her brother whom was my classmate and dear friend. Nicole was tremendously soft spoken and undoubtedly a great human being. God bless to the family.

Bob, I only learned of Nicol's passing yesterday and to say the least was very surprised; my sincere regrets to you and your entire family. We of course do not see each other often these days and I've seen Nicole even less often, but I know that this will be a very difficult time for you. I can only wish you the best, in confidence that your memories will see you through this time.

I have only today heard of Nicole's passing, I will be forever thankful for her help and guidance when I was a member of the CF. Her advice was invaluable to me and I have never forgotten this. She helped many of my coworkers as well at a time when we most needed it. My sincerest condolences to her family.

It deeply saddens our family of this news. Our most sincere condolences to her family and those closest to her. She was recommended to us and we had only met her exactly 1 year ago to buy our first house. As many others have already indicated, she was an incredible person who gave her all. Infectious smile, patience with our busy kids, kind, and honest. We were in the best of hands for this very important step in our life, and it was nice to have the feeling that a very wise parent was guiding you along. May she always be remembered as that vibrant woman we were so lucky to have crossed paths with.

To Nicole's family:
Nicole was our mortgage broker for many years, and, despite being an acute financial whiz, it was obvious from our first meeting and thereafter that she was incredibly proud of and devoted to her family. I will very much miss her advice and our chats. She was an amazing lady whom I was privileged to know. My sincere condolences.

To Bob, John and James and extended family, our deepest sympathies to you. Have known Nicole since the beginning of RLRS and had her as our own mortgage consultant. Apart for our own loved ones, Nicole was the only one to congratulate us when we became mortgage free. Will miss her honesty, sound advice, heartwarming stories of vacations with Bob in four star resorts and generosity above all else. RIP Nicole, merci pour tout; especially the memories of Mr. Ho in Montreal!
