Alfred CAREW Obituary

CAREW, Alfred (Alf) Sylvester (Retired Transport Canada) January 1, 1940 March 1, 2018 Alf passed away after a brief, courageous battle with ALS at the age of 78. He will be greatly missed by his and Bette's children; Darryl, Jeff (Katie), Jana (Ralph) and Chantal (Sean). Loving grandfather to Sadie (Jeff) and to step-grandchildren Connor and Emily (Jana). Alf was the eldest of 19 siblings. He will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and relatives. A private service for family and friends will be held at a later date, followed by interment at St. Patrick's Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to ALS Research or Shepherds of Good Hope would be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at the Civic Hospital NeuroScience Floor. So sorry to hear of Alfs passing. I have fond memories of a visit he had to my home with his brother Art. Bob also has great memories of working with him at transport. Our deepest sympathy to his family
