Arnold W. Burwick, 87, of Midland, passed away Sunday evening, Sept. 9, 2018 at Brittany Manor. The son of the late William and Iva (King) Burwick was born May 17, 1931 in Moorhead, Minn. Arnold served his country honorably with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He then went on to work for Three Rivers Construction for several years as a carpenter. After retiring he then went on to work for Lowes as a sales associate in the tool and hardware department.
Surviving is his wife of 30 years, the former Marilyn J. Drew, whom he married Aug. 13, 1988 in Sanford; son, Ben Burwick of Midland; daughter, Nita – Jean Wolf of Ada, Minn.; step-sons, Louis (Sandy) Hand of San Antonio, Texas, and Wayne Hand of Iserlohn, Germany; step-daughter, Shannon (Mickey) Bible of Moorseville, Tenn. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Per Arnold's wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 at Jerome Township Cemetery in Sanford with the Rev. Samuel Reith of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Memorials in Arnold's name may be offered to Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund.
