Gerald "Jerry" Robert Geyer died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018 at Evangelical Homes in Saline, Mich. He was born May 13, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wis. to Clarence and Ruby (Rafeth) Geyer. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor's in chemical engineering and a master's in biochemistry. He worked for The Dow Chemical Co. as a chemical and process engineer from 1955 to 1992. He was a founding member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and sang for many years in the Adult Choir. He was a member of the local Lions Club and volunteered for the American Red Cross and Meals-on-Wheels. He also played tennis for years at the Midland Tennis Club.

He leaves behind his five children, Ingrid, Michael, Nancy, Eric and Robert; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Joan Geyer of Scottsdale, Arizona; and three nephews John, Jeff and James.

No memorial services are planned at this time.
