Jennifer Mae (Secrist) Lewis, age 39, went to Heaven on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Petoskey, MI hospital. She had a rare disease that caused many years of illness.

She leaves behind husband, Kevin Dale Lewis; and daughters, Ajalyn Rose Marie, age 9 and Aowyn (Wynnie) Georgia Grace, age 7 of Mechanicsville, Virginia. Her parents are Pat and Joanna Secrist, residing in Atlanta, Michigan; and one brother, Gabriel Secrist, residing in Bethesda, Maryland. Her parent in-laws Mike and Faye Lewis reside in Kentucky. She also has nephews and other in-laws. Her grandmother, Jean Secrist resides in Atlanta, Michigan. Her grandparents that were already in heaven waiting for her are Ed Secrist, Leroy Zook and Rocena Zook.

Jennifer Mae lived in Virginia the past four years doing what she loved most. Her first love was being a mother to her daughters. She also worked for Sunoco as an art director. She designed billboards, the marketing signs and promotional materials. She also designed the interior signage and layout of a large number of Sunoco gas station convenience stores. Before moving to Virginia, Jennifer Mae worked at Secrist Toys in Midland and DBS in Bay City. Her hobbies were her animals and collecting old books.

We will have a memorial for Jennifer Mae in Midland in the spring. A memorial wildflower meadow is being planted on the Secrist property. A statue of a young girl will be surrounded by a meadow of wildflowers. If you would like to participate in Mae's memorial meadow, you can send wildflower seeds to be planted in the meadow to The Secrists at 12550 Secrist Road, Atlanta, MI 49709.
