Richard Anthony Roberts, 70, of Bay City, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Aug. 13, 2018. Richard was born to Eugene and Ursula (Kilbride) Roberts, Aug. 31, 1947, in Midland. Richard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Bay City, and a Vietnam veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle; children, Rachel (Brent) White and Zachary (April) Roberts; grandchildren, Abigail, Owen, and Emmett White and Baby Girl Roberts. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe Roberts, Tom (Kathy) Roberts, and John (Karen) Roberts; sisters, Mary Jane (Joe) Howe and Maureen (Chip) Place; in-laws, Donna Roberts, Jim Bukowski, Carol Roberts, Don Christensen, Andy and Tina Heinz, and Kenn and Kathy Wackerle; and many nieces and nephews.Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his father- and mother-in-law, Wallace and Alvina Wackerle; brothers, Jim and Mike Roberts; sisters, Colleen Bukowski and Pat Christensen; brother-in-law Dean Miller; and sister-in-law Shirley Roberts.

The funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at Evangelical Free Church of Bay City with Pastor Greg Langley officiating. Visitation was held at Rivertown Funeral Chapel on Thursday, Aug. 16, from 4-7 p.m. with military honors at 6:30 p.m. On Friday, Richard lay in state at church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Internment will take place at the Apostolic Christian ChurchCemetery. Memorials may be made to Family Wishes.
