Terrance Digison Obituary

Terrance J. Digison went home to be with the Lord at 9:44 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012. Terry was born on Dec. 23, 1961, in El Paso, Texas, but having been born into a military family lived all over the world including, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Rome, Spain, and Germany.

Terry showed his love to his wife in many ways by doing all of the extra little things that many people overlook. He was always creative in showing his love by writing love notes on her mirror to never-ending little surprises when she returned home. Terry went above and beyond serving faithfully as a deacon at Living Word Church. He was generous, selfless and loved by everyone. Terry dearly loved his family. He found great joy in sailing, vacationing on Lake Michigan, and take-out and a movie with his sweetheart. At all the family gatherings he could be found playing with his grandchildren.

Terry was employed as an environmental safety tech at The Dow Chemical Co., however he was a jack-of-all-trades and will be best remembered for his beautiful tile work.

Terry was preceded in death by his mom, Erna Digison; and is survived by the love of his life, Sharon; son, Jeff Beyesdorf (Leslie), daughter, Rachel Jines (Josh), son Matt Beyersdorf (Krista); grandchildren, Jordan, Chase, Camryn, Ella, Trenten, and Cash; father, Donald K. Digison; siblings, Donald R. Digison, Margaret Willis (Clifford), Mary Beth Digison (Ajai), Scott Digison (Lisa), Jill Sussman, Douglas Digison (Gloria), Bonnie McLain (Travis), and Patricia Rinus; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Terry took place on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, from the Living Word Church.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Terry's family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the Digison family. We first met the Digison's in West Germany when our family was stationed there at the same time in the early 70s. Scott moved to Michigan & I believe Terry followed. It's ironic that we all ended up working at Dow. Please know that the Soto family is thinking of you and send our deepest sympathies.

Terry was a joy to work with and sat on a team with me for most of this year. He always brought his great sense of humor and kept the team atmosphere fun! What a wonderful person and all of us feel so blessed to have known him. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Terry was the first person I worked with at Dow. He was always willing to help a fellow out by doing something extra. He was a genuinely nice person and is missed by all of us who knew him. Your family is in my prayers.
