JEFFERSON – Ms. Odessa R. Moree, 77, of Jefferson, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Sept. 09, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family and the care of Hospice.
Ms. Odessa R. Moree was born on Feb. 20, 1940, in Lancaster, to the late William S. Rollings and Bleaka Sims Rollings.
She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Monroe, N.C. Ms. Moree would love to ride in the golf cart for hours. She loved her flowers and adult coloring.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Moree; and son, Michael "Kojak" Moree.
Those left to celebrate and remember her life include her loving sons, Jeff Moree of Pageland and Chris Moree (Mandee) of Oakboro, N.C.; daughters, Denise Helms (Dennis) of Jefferson and Darlene Anderson (Charles) of Pageland; brothers, Billy Rollings of Lancaster and Hazel Rollings of Landis, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life funeral service was 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Monroe, N.C., officiated by Pastors Roger Nance and Richard Collins, with burial in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Solid Rock Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Solid Rock Baptist Church, 2021 Claude Austin Road, Monroe, NC, 28112.
