David L. Brock
Centerville, Ind. - David L. Brock, age 73, of Centerville, Indiana, died Saturday, June 19, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.
Born July 20, 1947, to Walter and Mildred Brock, David lived in Wayne County, Indiana, most of his life. He graduated from Richmond High School and attended college. David served in the U.S. Navy. He worked in security for the government. David was a member of Ravinia Park Baptist Church. He liked to build model naval ships and was a model train collector.
Survivors include his bothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James (Diana) Slaven of Hagerstown, Indiana, Donnie (Carolyn) Slaven of Lynn, Indiana, Janet Masters of Richmond, Indiana, and Mary (Bill) Griffin of Abington, Indiana; nieces, Rebecka (Robert) Kruk, Nikki (Noland) Patterson, and Catherine (David) Harris; nephews, Ronald (Ann) Brock, Steven (Kelly) Brock, David (Lisa) Lopez, Michael Lopez, James (Emily) Slaven, and Kyle (Ashley) Slaven; great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Janie Slaven Brock, who died June 1, 2014; parents; sister, Jerri Lopez; and brother, Ron Brock.
Visitation for David L. Brock will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor James E. Slaven officiating. There will be military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard. Private burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
