Jane Ann Hadley Caruso, 91 years old, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17, 2018 with her children by her side. Jane was born on May 5, 1927 in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was the daughter of Anna Fremd Hadley and Samuel Percy Hadley. Jane treasured her Florida and Palm Beach family history, noting that her grandfather, William F. He also served on the first Town Council of Palm Beach in 1911 and later for another 17 years. As a little girl, Jane accompanied her grandfather on many days walking the grounds and admiring the tropical beauty her grandfather created. Jane attended Florida State College for Women (now Florida State University) and later served as a volunteer in many charitable organizations, among them: Founding member of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches, past president of Opportunity, Inc., 45 year member of the Altar Guild of Bethesda by the Sea Episcopal Church, former vestry member of Bethesda by the Sea Episcopal Church, past board member and volunteer at The Church Mouse, PEO BX chapter, volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital, member of "The Ladies Oldest Sewing Circle" in Palm Beach, member of The Sailfish Club of Florida, member of Bethesda by the Sea Episcopal Church. Of all her roles in life, Jane always said her most treasured and favorite was that of being a mother. Jane was preceded in death by her husband Enrico Caruso, her brother Hyatt Ward Hadley, her sister Lillian Hadley Hall, her brother Samuel Percy Hadley, Jr., dear companion John M. Farrell and devoted family friend OraLee Marion. Jane was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Holly Hadley Crawford (Bruce), Heather Hadley Luttier (Mark), Trevor Hadley (Marilyn), Denise Hadley Glover (John), Jerry Hall (Mayra), Fred Kirijan (Alexis), Rick Kirijan (Maria). A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 3.00PM at Bethesda by the Sea Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends in fellowship following the service. Her remains will be interred alongside her husband at Bethesda by the Sea. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial gift to Bethesda by the Sea Episcopal Church, Opportunity, Inc. or TrustBridge Hospice, 5th Floor, Good Samaritan Medical Center. The family would like to thank Dr. Timothy Mark, Dr. Neal Rothschild, Katherine Chambers, and her devoted caregivers Patricia, Dorothy, Joan, Doris, and Marjorie.
