HOFFMAN, Carl Vincent

Carl Vincent Hoffman, 74, resident of Boynton Beach, Florida, died Thursday, June 20, 2013 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Orlando, Florida. Carl was born December 22, 1938 to Carl R. and Virginia Hoffman in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Purcell High School and University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors Degree in Finance. He served proudly in the US Marine Corps. Carl's careers included banking and real estate in both Ohio and Florida. In recent years, he served as a Counselor for Vocational Rehabilitation Services helping to place disabled adults in full time employment. He served on the Boy Scouts of America Council for fund raising and worked closely with the American Legion, worked for the Veteran's Administration in Career Development for returning veterans, served on the board of Lynn University for Career Development of Students, and assisted with the American Alliance for Persons with Disabilities, a non-profit organization he helped found and with the American Legion. Besides being a humanitarian, Carl was also a generous, vibrant and personal man who loved to give and took great joy in doing for others. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Carl is survived by his wife Nancy Romance; his brother David (Anne) Hoffman, his sister Marilyn (Donald) Foertsch; his children, Stephen (Jacqueline) Hoffman, Sandra (Russell) Denslow, Joseph (Kim) Hoffman, and David Hoffman; his stepchildren, Keith (Terri) Romance, Jeff (Alicia) Romance and his 11 grandchildren. A service celebrating his life will be held 11:00 AM Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the Parkland Golf & Country Club, 10001 Old Club Road, Parkland, FL 33076. (954) 753-7737.
