WARREN, Irvin W.

Irvin W. Warren, 88, peacefully entered heaven October 2, 2013. Irvin was a World War II Veteran who faithfully served his country for 21 years. His Navy service included piloting a landing craft at the Normandy Beach D-day Invasion. He continued his Military Service by obtaining a career as an air traffic controller for the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was proud of his time in the United States Military and proud of the country for which he served. After Irvin retired from the Air Force, he worked for the United States Postal Service in Delray Beach, FL for 20 years. Irvin was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. His strong Christian faith and commitment to the Lord has been the cornerstone of his life. Irvin is survived by his loving wife, Mildred Cox Warren, of 55 years; two daughters, Deborah Lynn O'Hara, (Rick), of Sebring, FL and Gigi Barborini of Boynton Beach, FL (Stephen); three grandchildren, Meredith O'Hara Overstreet, (Chip), Stephen Barborini, II, Stephanie Barborini Steele, (Tony) and four great-grandchildren, Madison, Cole, Caden and Millie Overstreet. His life was a testimony to selfless love and Christian values. He was an honorable man and will be dearly missed. A memorial celebration of his life begins Friday, October 4 at First Baptist Church in Delray Beach, FL, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church with a graveside service to follow.
