On March 21, 2013, we lost a husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend when Les lost his battle with lung cancer at the age of 67. Les is survived by his wife of 22 years, Patricia Marazo; his son, Jeffrey Konrady (Emily); daughters, Kristy Ruiz (Abel), Tracy Corey (Darrell); stepson, Sean Curtis, seven grandchildren, his twin sister, Leslee Poore, two nieces and several cousins. Les served in the United States Marine Corps and during his tour in Vietnam was awarded a Silver Star and three purple hearts. After leaving the Marine Corps, he went on to join the Lake Worth Police Department in October of 1967 where he worked as an officer until he retired in September of 1983 and continued his service to the community when he joined the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in December 1986 from where he retired in May of 2005. A Graveside Service with Military honors will be held at 1:45 PM, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. In lieu of flowers the family would like you to make donations to Hospice by the Sea in his memory. Arrangements are under the direction of the Palm Beach National Chapel, Lake Worth, FL.
