So many times I ask myself "What would Bruce say about....?" During this pandemic I miss the valuable insight and sound guidance he would have offered. He was one of a kind.

Dr. Hedendal had a chiropractic office in Gloucester MA back in the 1970's. I had terrible back problems and he got me on the road to recovery. I'm saddened to just now have learned that he passed on five years ago. He was a kind and caring healer, and I will be forever grateful for all that he taught me. He knew how to steer a person in the right direction toward health. God bless him. The world is a lesser place for his loss.

The shock has not at all diminished. The void remains as empty as ever. Each day I refer to the teachings of my mentor, a truly special individual, so much more than a doctor...so much more.

It is hard to believe that it is 4 years. My heart still hurts. I speak of you often. I have been so ill and in pain. I know if you were alive today that you would be able to help me. Then I cry when I say this.There is no one in this world that is like you. If you know someone, Please send someone to help me. I miss you. You truly were an amazing doctor and friend.

After first listening to his radio broadcasts on the local station, I met Dr Bruce Eric Hedendal at the Park Road Holistic Center in Brisbane, Australia in 2001.

I was into body building and had a problem re despite working out every day and remaining on a strict diet, I could not get rid of a stubborn band of midriff tissue [fat].

He did a saliva analysis and formulated a diet based on my blood group, he told me the midriff issue was caused by fructose from the high glycemic index fruit I had been consuming.

He drew a diagram on a whiteboard and declared "fat doesn't make you fat, sugar and carbohydrates make you fat!"

He was an enjoyable guy to listen to on the radio and a pleasure to meet, condolences go out to his family :)

I am so saddened and somewhat shocked to hear of Dr Hedendal's passing. My sincere condolences to his family.

I found this posting on FB today. I had heard of the unusual coincidence of 5 Alternative Medicine Doctors all dying with a month. As I read the posting, I was shocked and saddened to learn the one of the Doctors was a good very from my past,Dr. Bruce Hedendal, DC Ph.D. He is the bright man in the green scrubs. I meet Bruce in Boston in the early seventies. We became quick friends. We meet through studies with Michio Kushi. Bruce had recently opened his practice in Harvard Square located in Cambridge, MA. my home town. I went to his office to be adjusted. Bruce had a great touch with amazing healing hands. When we finished, we discussed my future in natural medicine. Bruce suggested I go to Chiropractic College and even advised studying the method of treatment called SOT. Sacral Occipital Technigue which was a very holistic approach. I did both and use the whole body method today after 38 years of practice. We met often at annual seminars. One training we both took for several years involved the use crystals for energy healing. it was always a joy to see his smiling face. Bruce will be missed personally and as a planetary healer.

I am a former patient of Dr. Hedendal's. He was a wonderful, caring person. I am so sorry for your loss.

I fondly remember Bruce from our time in Cambridge in the early '70s, after graduation from Harvard. His days of self-imposed silence were especially moving. My thoughts are with his family and friends upon his passing.

I just found out today that Bruce passed away. I was shocked to say the least. My heart goes out to his family. I hope this little saying help: "You never loose the one you love as long as you love the one you loose."

I helped Bruce and Ellie have a VBAC birth many, many years ago - they took my childbirth classes and I stayed friendly with them for years - I am still in touch with Ellen. He introduced my family to a number of different forms of alternative healing - for which we have always been grateful. I am so very sorry and so very shocked to hear about his death.

I was introduced to Dr. Bruce Hedendal by a friend. After the first appointment, I became a faithful patient even though I live in the Bahamas. Dr. Bruce changed my life and taught me how to live a healthy life. I looked forward to Bruce hugs and all of the healing energy and knowledge from every appointment. I was able to be his patient for years. Then I lost touch but thankfully a few years ago I was able to be his patient again and I was so elated. His humour and beautiful attitude were so invigorating. And when I was not in the U.S. I would listen to his radio show. I am so sorry for Dr. Hedendal's family's loss. My heart goes out to you. Dr. Bruce Hedendal was a gift from God. My husband, Barry, was very ill. We had gone to many traditional doctors, with no help. I had prayed to find an answer.
