Family-Placed Funeral Notice
CATHERINE MAY EDWARDS Catherine May (Cimino) Edwards, a resident of Norwood for the past year, and formerly a resident of Lake Worth, Florida for 21 years, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at the Charlwell House Nursing Home in Norwood after a long illness. She was 93. Mrs. Edwards was born in Bristol, Rhode Island, a daughter of Burdette and Priscilla T. (Brotherton) Cimino. She worked in a bank as an administrative assistant and was an active member of the Poinciana Country Club in Lake Worth, Florida, and an avid tennis player at the Oritani Field Club in Hackensack, New Jersey. Mrs. Edwards was the wife of the late Osborne Price Edwards, and is survived by her two daughters, Priscilla “Theo” and her husband Douglas Slack of Alamo, California, Kerry Lee, and her husband the Rev. John Hamilton of Walpole; a son, Gregory O. and his wife Toni Edwards of Knoxville, Tennessee; and six grandchildren, Ryan, and his wife Angela Slack of Modesto, CA, Devin Slack of New York City, NY, Alexa and her husband Matt Oster of San Francisco, CA, Gregory “Rory” Edwards of Somerville, Michael Hamilton of Cambridge, and Christine Hamilton of Somerville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Noon at the First Congregational Church, 100 Winter Street, Norwood. Interment in Rural Cemetery in Walpole, at 11 am prior to the Memorial Service. Arrangements by May Funeral Home, Norwood.
