Family-Placed Funeral Notice

CELIA SCHLESSER 86, Hollywood, passed away on December 27, 2004. Born in Brooklyn, where she raised her family, co-owned renowned Garden Bakery. Retired to Florida, pursued dancing, traveling and grandmothering. Beloved wife of the late Leo Schlesser, to whom she was married for 65 years. She is survived by her daughter Ileane Rayman-Kaufman and son-in-law Duane Kent; son and daughter-in-law Melvyn and Lucia Schlesser; grandchildren Alex; Ethan and Joanna; Evan and Bonnie, and great-grandchildren Joshua and Carly; Courtney and Fred; and Jason and Melissa; her "step-families," The Kaufmans and The Dias'; her dear friend Sylvia Gumberg; and other family and friends. Thanks to Tania Giagnacova and Hospice By The Sea for her excellent care. Services, Wednesday December 29 at 12 noon at Beth David Memorial Gardens, 3201 N. 72 Ave., Hollywood.
