David BATELAAN Obituary
BATELAAN, David David Batelaan, 72, of Boynton Beach, FL, passed away on July 28, 2018 in Bethesda Hospital West, Boynton Beach. He was born in Cleveland, OH, October 19, 1945, attended High School and graduated from the University of South Florida with an Electrical Engineering Degree. He began his career working for Boeing Aircraft at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral during the Apollo Race to the Moon, he then changed his career to IBM in Boca Raton where he continued working until retirement. He married Donna Jean Miller and together they started Action Mobility where David worked for many years. Donna preceded Dave in death. For many years Dave was active in the Jaycees and he was a member of Kiwanis for many years. Dave was also well known for his work with March of Dimes. A generous and kind hearted man who was known for his philanthropic spirit in the Palm Beach Community, he will be greatly missed. Surviving are his sister Lenore Rupert and brother Robert Batelaan. Dave will be remembered and honored at the Annual Palm Beach March of Dimes Benefit in the future. Friends are invited to share memories of Dave at (www.craigflaglerpalms.com).
