Fred H. RICHMOND Obituary

November 26, 1931 - August 20, 2014, Fred Hasty Richmond, 82, of Jupiter, passed away after an extended illness on August 20, 2014. He was born in McAfee, Kentucky on November 26, 1931 and was the youngest of seven siblings. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1955 where he learned the skills to work for General Electric in Evendale, Ohio for 15 years. He transferred to Pratt Whitney in 1971 and established his home in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He retired after 22 years. An avid sports fan, he coached boys baseball and girls softball in Juno. He was very proud of his family and will be greatly missed by his loving wife, devoted family, and cherished friends. For the past two years, Fred has brought much laughter and smiles to his friends at Atria at St. Joseph's in Jupiter, Florida. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Emma Richmond; his daughter Sonya J. Brown and husband Chris of Jupiter; his daughter Fredda K. Johnson and husband Jerry of Plant City, Florida; his three grandchildren Shelley L. Harden, Stephen D. Harden, and Brittany Brown; his sister Bessie Barton of Middlesboro, Kentucky; his brother James 'Bud' Richmond and wife Louise of Covington, Kentucky; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends. Funeral Services will held at the Royal Palm Beach Funeral home, 5601 Greenwood Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida on Saturday, August 23rd,2014 at 2:00 p.m. An Interment will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Alzheimer's Community Care of West Palm Beach or Hospice of Palm Beach County.
