Family-Placed ObituaryJOSEPHINE ìJoî DEMORE PRALL Josephine (Jo) Demore Prall, 85, of Rome, GA, and Palm City, FL, died suddenly Monday, March 30, 2009. A native of Suffern, NY, Mrs. Prall was born December 5, 1923, daughter of the late Joseph Demore and Ella Kurek Demore and lived many years in Hawthorne, NJ. She and her late husband, Warren M. Prall, an executive with the General Electric Company managing International Sales, traveled to many foreign countries and throughout the U.S. in the course of his career from which she developed a love for travel. She was a devoted wife and loving mother to her three children and enjoyed caring for her family and entertaining friends. She was also an exceptional cook and known for many special recipes. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Rome, GA, where she was active in the Altar Guild, and a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Stuart, FL. In her spare time, she was an avid bridge player, enjoyed playing golf, and was a member of the Town & Country Garden Club, the Coosa Country Club, and Monarch Country Club. Survivors include her three children Richard Warren Prall of Clarkesville, TN, Mrs. John M. (Barbara Prall) Braly of Greensboro, GA and Ms. Nancy Prall of Palm City, FL and London, England. Five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Spittler also survive. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 3, 2009 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with interment following in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. Grandsons and grandsons-in-law and a close family friend served as active pallbearers. The family received friends Thursday from 5 until 8 P.M. at Daniel's Funeral Home, and a reception was held on Friday at the Coosa Country Club following the funeral services.
