LIPOFSKY, Leonard (Lenny)

Lenny was predeceased by his wife Harriet Lipofsky and his daughter and son in law, Rosalie and Gary Pry. Known to his family as Uncle, he was loved by his many nieces and nephews, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lenny was born in 1919 in the Bronx, graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School and attended City College of New York. Lenny married Harriet Holzman in 1943 then moved to Edison, New Jersey in 1950, where they raised their family. Lenny was involved in family activities, coached Little League baseball and was instrumental in the development of his synagogue, Congregation Beth-El. Lenny and Harriet relocated to West Palm Beach in 1982, residing for almost 30 years in Century Village. Lenny served as a member of his condo's Board of Directors, as a volunteer with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department and as a supervisor with the AARP Tax program. His family, his many friends from Century Village and the Classic and all the folks whose lives he touched will miss Lenny. A memorial service to celebrate Lenny's life will be held on Wednesday February 20 at 11AM at the Classic, 6100 Common Circle, West Palm Beach.
