BRINDIS, Phyllis B. Phyllis B. Brindis, 93, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home surrounded by her family on August 6, 2018. Beloved wife of George for 68 years; mother of Lewis, Sam (Sandra) and Carol (David Tivoli); grand- mother of Leah Tivoli (Bryan Reeves), Sarah Tivoli, Benjamin Brindis, and Jasper Brindis. Phyllis grew up in Brookline, MA and was the loving and devoted daughter of Pauline and David Baer. A graduate of Boston University (Sergeant College), she taught Physical Education before marriage. Phyllis' journey brought her to Haverhill, MA after marriage where she raised a family of three children. Phyllis was involved in many community activities, such as, volunteering at the Red Cross and regional Cerebral Palsy Center. Later, Phyllis moved to Florida where she was an avid tennis player and golf enthusiast. Phyllis continued her involvement participating in the vibrant Jewish community and was a congregant of Beth Kodesh. Phyllis also received the Lion of Judea with the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. Phyllis then moved to Edgewater at Boca Pointe where she enjoyed many friendships playing bridge and continuing to actively participate in residential community affairs. She was a dear friend to many, always had a kind word, and was loved by her friends and family! A chapel service was held on August 7, 2018 at Temple Sinai in Longmeadow, MA. Interment was conducted at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, Boynton Beach, FL. Farewell and rest in peace, loving wife, mother and grandmother.
