WILLIAM OSBORNE LOCKHART 71, of Lake Worth passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at JFK Medical Center. He had been employed with both Lee Nursery and Mecca Farms for many years before his retirement. Mr. Lockhart was a parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lantana for over 30 years. He served as head usher, and was president of the St. Vincent DePaul Society at the church. After his retirement, Mr. Lockhart, worked at the Lake Worth pier as pier master. He was also a volunteer with the Lake Worth Citizens on Patrol. He also, with his family, operated the Lockhart Family Produce stand at the West Palm Beach Green Market. He was preceded in death by his wife, Airis Roker - Lockhart, his son, William O. Lockhart,Jr., a grandson, Michael Lockhart - Glover and a granddaughter, Rikesha Gordon. He leaves to cherish his memory his five sons: Cardell Lockhart, Joe (Carolyn) Lockhart, Clifford Lockhart, Leonard Lockhart, and Jonathan (Mindi) Lockhart; four daughters: Joyce Lockhart-Glover, Linda Lockhart, Dorane (Marion) Bailey, and Katrina Lockhart. Mr. Lockhart's survivors also include his grandchildren: Travis Rolle-Lockhart, Anthony Glover, Theophilus Glover III, William Lockhart, Joey Glover, Shatia Gordon, Kenneth Thomas, Brittany Lockhart, Jonathan Lockhart,Jr., and Markus Jairise Lockhart; great grandchild, Theo Michael Mazze Glover and very special family friend, Jonathan Edmondson. His family also includes his sisters: Joy Taylor Nealy, Olive Lockhart Cooper, and Iva Lockhart Sensilen; his brothers: George Lockhart Jr., Clifford Lockhart, Samuel Lockhart, and Wensil Lockhart; his uncle, Osborne Lockhart, and aunts, Barbara Lockhart and Julia Bullard. His family will receive their friends on Sunday, April 27, 2003 at DORSEY E. EARL SMITH MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME 3041 Kirk Rd. Lake Worth from 4:00 - 7:00PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Lantana. Interment will follow immediately at Lake Worth Memory Gardens Cemetery.
