William W. Bride III
Atlantis - William W. Bride III, 86, of Atlantis, Florida, passed away on March 30 at JFK Medical Center. Mr. Bride was born and raised in Washington, DC and lived in that area until 2000, when he moved to Florida. He was a graduate of Morristown Beard School in New Jersey and the University of Maryland. He spent most of his career with Baxter Travenol Laboratories. Upon moving to Florida he was employed by the Paul N. Gardner Company until he retired in 2019. He was an active member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Lake Worth Beach, Atlantis Country Club, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and The Terrapin Club. He was an enthusiastic golfer shooting two holes in one during his golfing career, a world traveler, a voracious reader, a sports fan including the Terrapins and the Washington teams, an animal lover and photographer. Mr. Bride is survived by his wife, Sandra G. Bride, and two children by his former marriage, William W. Bride IV (Edelwina) and Kimberly B. Workinger (William), both of Northern Virginia, and a grandson, Benjamin M. Bride. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Laura Edwards, Gary Landon and David Landon, as well as 6 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren. A service will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to The American Kidney Fund or Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.
