When I heard of Micki's passing, a flood of memories came over me - the old neighborhood, West Ilex Drive, and the years that the kids on our block spent growing up.
Micki will always have a special place in my memory.

I join the Gayler family in the reflection on those days and all days spent around Micki.

Dear Matthew:

I was saddened when I heard of your mom's passing. I met you and your mom many years ago when I worked for your dad. Your mom was a great lady. My most sincere condolences to you and your family during this most difficult time.

Micki was an extraordinary human being, one of the most talented people I have ever had the pleasure to know, a great big sister to her siblings, and a loyal, loving friend since the day we met in 1963. She was a loyal and loving friend to all. We shall miss her.

Heaven's bouquet was missing just one special flower, yet none was willing to give up a stem. An angel came down and chose just one rosebud, to complete the arrangement in Heaven's grand hall.

Many years it seems have come and gone yet I remember this family so well.
Micki, take your rest, so much awaits you, what joy there is you've not begun to experience.
I know it is sad parting here, but the welcoming has only just begun over there.
To the family I pray peace and healing to each of you in this troublesome time, and may the Love of God o're shadow you in the days ahead.

Micki, you were my most cherished friend and "sister". I feel so blessed that you were part of my life for 42 years. The depth of our relationship which began at UM was something that I will always treasure. The memories of our college "escapades", marathon card games, boyfriends, and band trips will never be forgotten. We had a ball! Through the coming years we shared the good times and bad times as the bonds of our friendship continued to grow. You were always there for me and I will never forget you and how much you meant to me.

You had such a kind heart and made everyone feel like they were the most special person in the world. Your smile could light up a room and your hearty laugh was music to one's ears. You were a woman of many talents, a gracious hostess, a true nurturer, courageous, giving and thoughtful, and always a lady.

Most of all Micki, you were magnificent mother to Matthew, your pride and joy. As a sister, a daughter, and an aunt, you loved your family unconditionally. I can't imagine how much they are going to miss you.

I won't be able to be at your Celebration of Life because Todd's graduating from college the same day. However, I'll look to Heaven during that time and send you a big hug and a kiss. Good-by my friend. I'll always love you.

Matthew, Mandi, Marty, Martha, and Margie, our entire family sends their love and heartfelt sympathy to you. Please know that Micki will always live in the hearts of those who loved, respected, and treasured her. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.

Micki, you touched and helped people.

I'll always remember the fun times we had in the R.B.H.S. band. Plus, Immanuel Youth Group and being a neighbor.

I know that you are with Him, in Heaven.

You will be missed, but your family and friends will honor you by continuing on with the valuable lessons that they learned from you, Micki.

Love and Condolences to All of Micki's Family and Friends,
