GLORIA M. CATALFUMO Gloria M. Catalfumo, 77, of West Palm Beach passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 following a long battle with Alzheimer's. Gloria was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 18, 1930. She married Danny Catalfumo on November 28, 1952. They moved to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1961. Gloria had a strong will and once her mind was set, nothing could stop her. Together with this determination and the love of her husband, she and Danny opened Danny's Shoe Repair in 1962. Gloria was a devoted wife and mother. She was fun loving and full of life with a crazy sense of humor which could make a grown man blush. She was a giving and compassionate person with a heart of gold. If you were in need she was the first one there for you. She was the most fabulous cook, and everyone will remember her infamous 'spaghetti pie'. She loved to entertain and of course loved to dance. She was active in the American Italian Club where she hosted many of the Saturday night dances. Danny and Gloria also enjoyed vacationing at their home in Marathon in the Florida Keys. She opened her heart and her home to everyone including stray and injured animals. She had a great love for all animals, especially cats. Gloria is survived by her husband Danny of 56 years. She was predeceased by son, Frank Catalfumo; survived by her son, Dan Catalfumo and daughter, Juliana Catalfumo; six grandchildren, Nancy, Cara, Alicia, Tara, Frankie and Giovanni Catalfumo. Her beloved kitty, Sunday. Visitations will be held Friday, May 23 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Mizell-Faville-Zern, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach (561-833-4061). Funeral Mass will be held at St. Juliana's Church, 4500 S. Dixie Hwy. (561-833-9745) on Saturday, May 24 at 9:30 am. Burial will be immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Parker Avenue.
