HORACE ANDERSON Horace Anderson was born September 14, 1921 in Burke County, Georgia to the late Rufus and Laura Anderson. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942 during World War II and served in the Quartermasters Corps. He was deployed to the European Theater and saw action in both Germany and France. He was awarded several medals of commendation and merit for faithful and devoted service. he was honorably discharged from the Army in 1945. He is survived by his wife of many years, Veola Anderson, and eleven children: Willie James Lovett (preceded him death), Damon Anderson, Frederick Anderson, from Daytona Beach, Jerry Anderson of Naples , Florida, Willie Lee Anderson of Douglasville, Georgia, Ola Ross of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Fanessa Barton of Jacksonville, Florida, Anna Smith and Roxanne Anderson of West Palm Beach, Florida, Roberta Butler of Bunnell , Florida and Lillie Mae Bush of Augusta, Georgia. He leaves behind 28 grandchildren, 15 great -grandchildren and one great-great grand child plus a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Anderson will be laid to rest at the Veterans National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida on September 19, 2008. Funeral services will be held at the Northwood Church of God, 1573 West 30th Street in Riviera Beach, Florida at 10:00 AM.
