TULKA, Hester M. Hester Mayne Tulka passed away August 6, 2018 at the age of 91. She was born in Cincinnati, OH to Dr. David F. Mayne and Marie W. Mayne. She graduated from The Ohio State University and after moving to Florida in 1953, met and married her husband Walter J. Tulka and raised their two children, David and Jo Ellen in West Palm Beach. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tulka is predeceased by her husband Walter, sister Mary Alice Tucker and nephew Dick Tucker. She is survived by her children David Tulka and Jo Ellen Cyffka (Peter), her grandchildren Kristy Cyffka (Dennis Tuytjens), Eric Cyffka, Katy Tulka, Wendy Cyffka, Caroline Tulka and Jennifer Tulka, her great-grandson Andy Tuytjens, niece Cindy Danchuck (Bill) and nephew David Tucker (Susie). Our mom and grandmother was kind. She met adversity with grace, wisdom, strength and a sense of humor. Her humor remained intact until she could no longer speak, but her eyes still smiled. Her children have indeed risen up and called her blessed. For her last seven years here, Mrs. Tulka lived at Fountainview near the intersection of Congress Avenue and I-95. The staffs at both Fountainview and Senior Helpers have become close friends and a second family to us. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Fountainview Employee Christmas Fund. Checks may be mailed to 111 Executive Center Dr, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00AM on Saturday August 11 at the DorseyE. Earl Smith Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Rd, Lake Worth with Pastor Jimmy Fogleman of Family Church of West Palm Beach officiating. Private interment at Lake Worth Memory Gardens to immediately follow the service.
