Margaret Janice Harrell Holder

GROVES - Margaret Janice Harrell Holder, 88, of Groves, Texas passed away at Gulf Health Care Center in Port Arthur on Monday May 18, 2009. She was born March 10, 1921 to Velma Byrd Harrell and Alexander Harrell in Port Arthur, Texas. She has been a resident of Groves since 1946. Margaret retired as a medical secretary after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Port Arthur, which is now Providence Church. Visitation will be on Wednesday May 20, 2009 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 2 P.M. Thursday, May 21, 2009 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson, Dr. Clay Faulk will be officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her husband William J. Holder as well as her parents. She is survived by her daughter Jaton L. West and husband Harvey West of Vienna, Virginia , grandson Stephen M. West and wife Steffi of Berlin, Germany , great grandchildren Noe and Milla West, also of Berlin , Nieces, Kathryn Boyle of McLean, Virginia , Joan Huff of Euless, Texas , and Janet Huff of Shreveport, Louisiana, and a cousin Judy Davis of Groves, Texas.
