BILL ROWLETTE William "Bill" Claude Rowlette AKA 'Bo' (88): Born at home 12/20/28 Davidson County, Tenn-essee, passed peacefully at home 11:16 am 11/16/17, Paradise, Cali-fornia. A proud Navy veteran, he served aboard the USS Wright & USS Coral Sea in the South Pacific during WWII & the Korean War. He was present July 1946 at the Bikini Atoll Atom Bomb testing. Bill retired from Southern Pacific Rail-road after 35+ years & was a welder for Bethle-hem Steel at Hunter's Point naval shipyard for many years. He was a member of the Elks, Legionnaires, SIRS, VFW, and Moose. Bill was married 49 years to Hilda Nelson, until her passing in 2002. He married Francine Novick, the second love of his life, in 2004. Bill was proud of his Cherokee heritage. He loved working in his yard, taking care of the neighborhood stray cats, cooking, playing dom-inos, his daily naps, and his beloved dog Sparky. He had sparkling blue eyes and a loving, caring nature making all who entered his home feel like family. Bill is survived by his wife Francine, Sister June Leftrick (Antioch, Tennessee) Sister-in-law Jodee Eli (Magalia) Children: Sherron (John) Prosser (Magalia) Cathy (Jerry) Mellang (Red Bluff) Matt (Margaret) Renner (South San Francisco) Keli Renner (Pleasant Hill) Linda Chicca (Sunnyvale) Barbara (Steve) Young (Chico) Grandchildren: James Prosser, Thomas (Diane) Prosser, Melodie Prosser, Kaitlin Chicca, Christin Renner, Erin Renner, Bret Renner Great Granddaughters: Evangeline Prosser and Marissa Boykin. Granddaughter Katie Prosser preceded him in death. You left us too soon... but we have beautiful memories and are blessed and grateful to have had you in our lives!
