Brandon Alexander Jorquera
Late afternoon approx. 5 pm of June 28, 2016 at a private residence in Sarasota, FL Brandon went to be with the Lord our God. He was 29 yrs. old
Brandon was born November 27, 1986 on Thanksgiving Day in Ft Lauderdale, FL
He was the son of Margaret "Peggy" Caton Jorquera & Julio "Tito" Alberto Jorquera
As a small boy Brandon was a happy, loving & kind child. He learned to swim at 7 months and started on his bicycle before 2. His sister Ivy Renee Jorquera came two yrs. later on December 29, 1988. Oh how he loved his sister and watched over her! He loved his bunny rabbit "Bambi" He enjoyed the beach and the ocean but not the sand! He began soccer at age 4 and Karate at 6 was good at both.
He began to snow ski at 6 in Gatlinburg TN then off to bigger slopes in Lake Tahoe at 7 on family vacations. Every yr. after was a ski trip.
We moved to Orlando, FL in 1991 and being next to Disney he spent many days enjoying Mickey at the parks and Roller coasters at Universal Studios.
Elementary school was fun for him, he was so smart and loved by his teachers.
The transition into middle school after his Dad had gone and losing his Grandpa it became a big struggle. That's when life changed for him.
Moving out to Utah in 2001 while beginning 9th grade was tough and got tougher.
Even at a young age Brandon had such charisma and knew how to tug at your heart strings. He had his grandmother Beryl Caton wrapped around his finger at times. The twinkle in his eyes and that smile he got from his grandfather Jim Caton. He was always such the ladies' man! All the girls loved him leaving many broken hearts along his journey.
His daughter Sage Piper was born June 27, 2003 in Salt Lake City UT. She's a delightful teen now and lives with her Mom, Skye and Stepdad, Greg Bennett
After high school Salt Lake Community college was brief, however he worked many jobs, a jack of all trades.
Playing the guitar gave him joy and contentment. His music choices were diverse as were his friends. Some wild & crazy some subdued and peaceful, loved by many. Mostly by your sister Ivy who misses you terribly, feeling your absence to her core, as I do.
He moved to Indiana whereby his second daughter Stella Jane was born on June 29, 2011. Her loving mother Danielle treasures them both as I write today.
Florida was where his heart belonged so for the past five years he'd made many friends in Sarasota. To name a few, (Cliff Myers was his bestest yrs. ago as kids in Orlando) but Andrew was his recent closest, Jillie whom I never met, & many that I don't know but you know who you are. His Stepbrother Glenn Jorquera had rekindled a new found relationship with him and helped him thru a lot of turmoil. Betsy was with him the night the Lord carried him home.
Brandon is survived by his mother Peggy, Sister Ivy, daughters Sage & Stella, step siblings Glen & Gilda, & niece Gabby, Gilda's daughter who will always and forever deeply love him. His Nephew & Niece Kingsly Hope & Kambria Rae born of his sister Ivy Renee and Joshua Robertson who he never got to meet or hold & enjoy.
Brandon, you have heard this many times from my lips you've always been and always will be "my favorite little boy in the whole wide world" I love you! MOM
His "Celebration of life" Memorial Service will be held at Park City Community Church on Sunday July 24, 2016 at 1pm. His ashes will be freed at The Canyons Resort on top of 9990 beforehand
He is also being celebrated in Sarasota, FL by his close friends where he will also be set free in the ocean off Siesta Key.
May God rest your soul my darling son………..
